There are currently 24 reading books in the Dark Man series, which divide down into four sets of six books. There is also a set of six Dark Man plays.
Sets 1 and 2 offer stories of 200 – 400 words over 32 pages. Within each set there are two slightly different levels of difficulty. The (L) next to the titles below indicates the simplest books in Sets 1 & 2 – i.e. those books with the lowest word counts.
Sets 3 and 4 increase in difficulty, with texts of approx 800 words over 48 pages.
Each self-contained story features Dark Man, a shadowy, brooding loner who has been recruited to play a part in a secret, cataclysmic struggle between good and evil.
